First of all, thank you for the great comments we've received by email and through the blog. The girls love reading them.
We've traveled through seven states so far and logged over 1,300 miles. We've learned how to do school in the van (pictures of that to come soon), and we've seen the landscape change radically from the southern pine forests of Georgia to the plains of North Dakota.
We have a challenge for Alex II students. Based on our itinerary, the minimum number of miles we will travel is 6,722. This doesn't include any driving once we get to a destination or even pulling off the road to get something to eat. So here's our challenge: estimate how many miles you think we'll go. Remember that we've already gone over 1,300 miles, and we have 13 more states to travel through (and some are really big, like California). Whoever has the closest estimate will win a gift card. We look forward to seeing your answers.
