Preparations: what the adults are learning

We are 17 days away from departure and planning is all we do around this house.  It's an ever present activity, sometimes waking me at night.  I love to plan though, so the spreadsheets and stacks of paper, the mountain of gear we have accumulated, and the epic to-do list fill me with a strange sense of contentment (that is when we're on top of the list).  There is one area that we hadn't considered in our planning however: first aid.  Yes, we have the required kit, and we've had some training (once upon a time when the girls were babies), but we're going to be in some very remote areas.  We need more than a few YouTube videos to bring us up to speed, so we're scheduled to take a first aid class next week.  It's just one more step toward ensuring a (hopefully) happy and safe trip.
